Section 3: IC Rules and Regulations

To ensure an environment that EVERYONE can enjoy, IC rules are deemed necessary.

Section 3.1: Basic IC Regulations

ALL public spaces are considered IN CHARACTER (IC).
God-modding (controlling fate) and meta-gaming (using OOC info for RP) are prohibited.
If you wish to OBSERVE a roleplay or an event, wear an OOC tag or titler indicating such.
Driving/riding in/on ANYTHING is an IC action, even with an OOC tag on.
Realism means walking, riding, or driving up to, NOT flying or teleporting to a scene.
Racism and prejudice have no place in Cedar Creek, period.
Gestures are not permitted as RP; they are strictly OOC. TYPE OUT your reactions.
CCTV-style cameras are assumed on EVERY Department Building in Cedar Creek.
Residents and Businesses are permitted to use their own security cameras, but they would NOT be linked to the TOWN CCTV. We do not provide security cameras or orbs.
We DO provide Fire Alarms for residential and commercial rentals. Visit the CCFD Page.
We provide RP signs for rentals in the rental packs. Set it and edit the NC inside. If it is not listed in the details as not permitted on your lot, it will be permitted. If there is no RP sign on the lot, it is to be assumed CLOSED to RP.
Allowed Avatars:
1. Humans (adults 18+ and children 0-17) – No superhumans, no fantasy races.
2. Neko and Furry (Anthropomorphic) – These are an Ethnicity.
3. Ferals – Pets and wild animals.
Fantasy-styled avatars are NOT permitted.
Restrictions for ALL Human/Anthropomorphic avatars
1. Genitalia is to be covered. Cleavage (no full/nip exposure) is permitted.
2. Public displays and/or RPs of sexual acts are prohibited.
3. Hooves, paws, claws, horns, tails, etc. do not grant additional perks.
ALL Ferals and wild animals MUST be true to the real-world version. Anatomical coverings are to be reasonably tucked.

Section 3.2: Children in Cedar Creek

Child avatars are permitted to explore ICly and OOCly (must wear an OOC tag).
Under the age of 8 and ICly roaming guardian (visible/NPC) free? There is a process.
NO sexual content involving minors. This will result in a permanent ban and report to LL!
Children are NOT permitted to show their buttocks. Swimsuits must be tasteful, and underwear cannot be seen during normal movement/dancing. Female minors are not permitted excess cleavage, nor males pubic bulges. Follow LL TOS; it’s that easy!
Minors must state their RP age ICly or OOCly. Profile information does NOT count!
Minors are expected to ACT THEIR AGE. IC actions have IC consequences.
Crimes by those under 14 are prohibited. For those 14+, they will carry adult charges.
School violence and extreme violence by/toward minors are prohibited.

Section 3.3: Weapon Regulations

Concealed weapons MUST be RP’d through the scene. Concealed weapons are authorized only for Cedar Creek Residents. Apply here
Open carry is ICly illegal for those NOT in the Sheriff’s Office.
Weapons CANNOT be automatic and must be context-appropriate.

Section 3.4 Criminal Regulations

NPC Criminals are limited to accomplices; NPC victims are permitted only with details.
ALL crime scenes MUST have an evidence box left. They are FREE at our Welcome Center. Evidence boxes DO NOT have to lead to immediate capture; be sensible.
We are NOT looking for extreme violence. Small town equals small-town problems.
Make a run for it, but keep it realistic. Superpowers do not exist. RP that you are running (by foot/vehicle); allow others to post, then run, pause, and repeat the process. ALL involved should be posting, INCLUDING LEOs. When you are tased, accept it.
Criminals get sloppy, careless. They leave traces, keep trinkets, and talk to just the wrong (maybe right) people. They are not perfect; they get caught. This is why we have Courts.
